Rosette Patterns
These rosette patterns are tidied up, exactly symmetrical versions of historical rosettes. These come as a pdf, intended to be printed on thick watercolor paper, for gluing on the inside of the lute - no need to remove the paper pattern from the top side of the soundboard after cutting. The pdf version will have as many patterns jammed onto an A4 size page as will fit (usually 6). The size of the rosette is given, so you can adjust the print size to get the correct size for your lute - 1/3 of the width of the soundboard at the rosette center line. The files are vector drawings so they can be scaled almost indefinately without any kind of pixelation.
For multilayer guitar and vihuela rosettes, each layer is printed separately and also all on top of each other - personally I like to use the template for the top layer, cut it, then glue on the next lower layer, cut it with the template cut to fit each 'window' of the first layer and so on, but I know that others like to cut all layers separately and then glue them all together. With the pdf you can do it either way.
